The model of Honor X8 that we will analyze is the TFY-LX3 and the presentation is Midnight Black. Reviewing the phone we will notice that it is thin and light at just 177 grams. Due to its proportions, I would say that it is somewhat difficult to manipulate with one hand. The finish of the bezels is adequate, but the plastic of the frame and the back make the phone look rather ordinary. The lens case, by the way, doesn’t protrude much and the sensors are well distributed. What is a problem are the fingerprints that are marked, but the box has a transparent casing.
Other details of Honor X8 They are the USB-C port, the single speaker on the back, the Jack port, the power button with digital recognition and the SIM card slot.
The screen is 6.7-inch IPS LCD and Full HD + resolution (2388 * 1080) with a dynamic refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The screen-to-body ratio is 93.6%, it also has a density of 391 ppi. Putting the brightness to the maximum, you will not have problems outdoors but it is not that the light power is considerable. In terms of software, we have the eBook Mode to read in grayscale, Dark Mode of all life and Color Mode to set the temperature of the tones.
HONOR X8 | smartphone reviews
About performance, Honor X8 It has a Snapdragon 680 Octa Core processor with Adreno 610 GPU. The operating system is Android 11 with Magic UI 4.2 customization layer. The RAM is 6GB and it comes with 128GB of storage. Here I want to point out that you can get 2GB more RAM by sacrificing storage, so animations and opening so many apps in the background are not a problem.
The Honor X8 It has a four-camera system on the back: a 64MP main sensor, a 5MP wide-angle sensor and two 2MP sensors dedicated to macro and depth. The selfie, meanwhile, is 16 MP. Things that caught my eye are Super Macro for 4cm shots, Two View to use front and rear cameras to record at the same pace, and Story to easily create clips with preset cuts.
The camera takes good shots as long as you have the right light. The graininess becomes noticeable when it is not, and the same is repeated with the selfie. Bokeh clipping feels artificial, but the cameras themselves have good color registration. Too bad you can’t customize the camera options bar.
The Honor X8 comes with a 4,000mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging. With the charger in the box, you can go from 0 to 100 percent in just over an hour. The system also offers energy saving mode in case you are with the right ones or the maximum performance to play at full power.
