Messi and 34 more: those summoned from Argentina for the ‘Finalissima’ against Italy

There will be no friendly against Brazil, but there will be the expected clash between champions of Europe and South America. The Argentina national team announced this Friday a preliminary list of 35 players with Leo Messi as the main figure, for the Finalissima, Conmebol-UEFA Champions Cup, against Italy on June 1.

The ‘Finalissima’ will face at Wembley Stadium Argentinachampion of the last Copa América, already Italylast winner of the European Championship.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) reported that “the final list will be published next weekend.”

Leo MessiÁngel Di María, Emiliano Martínez, Nicolás Otamendi, Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo De Paul, Lautaro Martínez and all the great figures of the Albiceleste are part of the call.

Also noteworthy are the returns of Paulo Dybala and Lucas Alario and the call-up of Marcos Senesi, who has an Italian passport and could be summoned by the Italian team.

Cristian Romero was also called, who is still not recovered from an iliac crest injury.
