Neymar and a new update that questions his presence against Real Madrid

Neymar has shown that he is committed to the recovery process, after suffering a left ankle sprain in the last days of November during the match of the League 1 against Saint Etienne, by Miguel Trauco. Since then, the forward (discarded for all of 2021) was seen through social networks doing work in the gym.

Despite the effort applied in each movement, the latest update published by PSG places the Brazilian in a bad position with a view to the commitment against Real Madrid on February 15 for the knockout stages of the Champions League at the Parque de los PrĂncipes stadium.

“Neymar has continued his treatment at the Ooredoo Training Center and his return to training is still expected in four to five weeks”says the medical report published on the official website. Then, according to the estimate of the capital’s team, the attacker will need, since his return, a few more sessions to get in shape.

Injuries and absences

Paris Saint Germain announced the resignation of Neymar between six and eight weeks in November. In fact, RMC Sport indicated that the commitment of ‘Ney’ is such that he did not attend the birthday party of Kylian MbappĂ©. The ‘Les Bleus’ squad arrived at a restaurant in the French capital (owned by midfielder Marco Verratti) to accompany one of the most beloved in the internship.

Neymar’s case with injuries is not new in the 2021-22 season. Since August and counting this Wednesday’s match against Lorient for Ligue 1, the former Barcelona accumulated a total of 11 commitments without defending ‘Les Parisiens’. In addition to the sprained ankle, he also had muscle problems.

Coronavirus attacks PSG

Players Thilo Kherer and Eric-Juinio Dina Ebimbe have tested positive for COVID-19, while Argentine Leandro Paredes is in isolation as a precaution, the club said Wednesday. The announcement appears in the call for the league game, a move against Lorient, in which the PSG, leader of the table, seeks to increase its already wide advantage of 13 points over Marseille.
