Currently there are various brands such as Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Sony, Honor, among others, that have substantially improved their cameras, they have even adapted their recording in order that they enjoy a remarkable stabilization, almost as if your shots were from film.
Xiaomi summoned the Peruvian director Bruno Ascenzo to direct his first short film shot entirely with the Xiaomi 11T smartphone. The device has a 108MP camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle and a 5MP telemacro lens, which allow, according to the brand, to capture clips such as cinematic films.
For the short film, by name “Anyone Crossing”, different light conditions were used: outdoors during the day and at night. “It also caused me to put him in a dark room, this big black box that is the theater, and play with different sets and filming spaces”, says Bruno Ascenzo.
It is the first time that the Peruvian director has recorded a short film with a cell phone. Recording an audiovisual piece for the big screen with a smartphone was not a problem since the device allows the content to be recorded in 4K, which allowed us to make this 8-minute short. “Recording in the highest quality, with a high resolution and in RAW format, made it possible to do a good mix of color in post-production,” he adds.
For his part, Luis Alejandro López, Product Manager of the Cellular Division at Xiaomi Peru, specifies that the Xiaomi 11T was a team that achieved great acceptance in the Peruvian market. “This thanks to the innovative proposal of the Xiaomi 11T, which makes available to everyone a tool capable of working very well in both day and night scenarios, with little or a lot of light, and that is precisely what ensured the success of this audiovisual production directed by the renowned director Bruno Ascenzo “, says López.
