Not everything is or will be rosy in the new adventure of Ronaldo Nazario in Brazil. The ex-footballer became the head of the Cruzeiro, a club where he made his debut as a footballer, after taking over 90% of the institution’s shares, but the 62.5 million euros that he disbursed could increase in the coming months.
This, after the president of the Cruzeiro, Sérgio Santos Rodrigues, revealed in an interview with TV Máfia Azul that the club will have to pay a debt of R $ 50 million (7.7 million euros) to FIFA although Ronaldo will assume the amount from his own pocket.
“He (Ronaldo) will pay the debt. In theory, the deficit belongs to the association but you have to pay otherwise there is no football. Next year we will have another large outlay for the signing of Rodriguinho, which was bought and once again was not paid. If I was not mistaken, it is more than R $ 30 million”Said Sérgio Santos Rodrigues.
The Brazilian team has a debt of R $ 20 million for the transfers between Riascos, with Mazatlán, and Arrascaeta. To that amount must be added the R $ 30 million from Rodriguinho, who is now playing for Bahía. Therefore, the debt amounts to R $ 50 million.
The former player pointed out that his main objective is to return to the ‘Black Beast’, which is currently in Serie B, to the First Division of Brazil and also, to put him in the top elite of South American football.
